Our cheerleaders performed in the Archbishop Ryan competition on sat 2-27 and came in 2nd place in Dance and also won the trophy for the best Originality –which was voted on between all of the other squads there - this is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to the girls and their awesome coach, Mrs. Patricia Rieger.

MDP Cheerleaders have amazing news - they won Grand Champions for All Around in their division at Kennedy Kenrick. They also won the Spirit Award which is a treasured achievement. Our wonderful cheerleading parents and cheerleaders rallied together and showed everyone how awesome MDP is. We are proud of the girls and their dedicated coach, Mrs. Trish Rieger. Congratulations, and good luck in upcoming competitions!

Last weekend our forensics team competed at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy. Coach Mrs. Linda Love writes, “We had a very good day at Ancillae.  Liz Czerpak, Tara Kosowski, Matt Baker, Steve Arechabala, Tony Gerardi and Tim Pergolin competed. We had our first to reach FINALS!!!!  Tony Gerardi and Tim Pergolin, one of our duos, took fourth place overall in very steep competition!!!! They each received lovely framed certificates of achievement! We were all thrilled for them! Mrs. Kosowski judged for a second time, and Mrs. Arechabala had her initial judging experience. We can't do it without help!  So, I am most grateful for everyone's support. Our next competition is at Archbishop Ryan on March 27th!”            The students are growing more accomplished by the week. We are looking forward to more good news through the season. Thank you to Mrs. Love for preparing our students in forensics.
